Greene County Board of Education Adopts New Policy for Student Code of Dress -Grades K-12
The new student dress code policy for 2008-2009 was adopted Monday, April 26, 2008. Highlights of the policy include:
All collared shirts must be white, navy blue, royal blue or red. Each school will select two additional colors.
Pants or skirts must be khaki, black, or navy blue.
No jeans or courdory pants will be allowed.
Pendants, medallions or adornments are not allowed.

Greene County Schools- Tobacco Free for August 2008
The Greene County Board of Education adopted a Tobacco Free Policy effective August, 2008 during the board meeting on April 26th.

Daily Announcements
Freshman author Jessica Frame, with the assistance of her classmate Jessica DeLeon, has begun a new series of stories called The BlueBird Series. She has turned her prologue into a podcast to share with us. Click on the Jessica Frame link under Resources to hear Jessica read the prologue to The BlueBird Series and watch for more information about Jessica and her upcoming projects.
GEC Student Government President Gabrielle Dillane helps Snow Hill Primary students create Tuscarora-style headbands as part of their tour of the Nature Trail.
Mr. Bryant presents balloons to Mrs. Emily Garris in recognition of her being chosen as GEC's Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Garris teaches English.
