The 2021 school year is here, and I would like to welcome back all of our students, staff, parents, and other stakeholders! Getting to this point has been quite an achievement. We have all experienced so much over the past 18 months. We've gained experiences that will help us make the most of the upcoming school year. These experiences have taught us that we have what it takes to meet adversity and overcome it. As a school family, we have all experienced what it looks like to conduct school in a pandemic. Unfortunately, we did not have that frame of reference to lean on at this point last year.
Some things about this school year will look and feel different, but we are getting back to "normal." You are still encouraged to maintain distance when possible and to wash and sanitize your hands every chance you get. But, something that will be the same is the high-paced, supportive, family-like learning environment that our students deserve. Our teachers and support staff have taken time to decompress this summer and have planned for an engaging learning experience for each of you. So, as we welcome you back to Greene Early College for the 2021-2022 school year, we want you to know that we are ready to help ensure that you are prepared for college, careers, and life, as well as knowing that you are loved, respected, and cared for. That is our commitment to you. Hold us to it!
Lastly, I would like to encourage anyone reading this message to consider getting vaccinated against Covid-19 strongly. This is our best chance at combatting this virus that has stolen so much from us. I've had mine, and I hope you will do all that you can to protect yourself and your loved ones. Let's go!
